By using the image and form of Van Gogh’s severed ear, we created the unusual  design of pasta. In our project we aim to show that nowadays art became just a usual product, which is easily traded on the mass market, without even thinking about its real values.

Today all creative projects are being created on the intersection of different directions, cultures, technologies. In our way of creating future food we wanted to make people think about not only physical usage of food, but generally about our consumption of goods and its influence on the global environment. We decided to combine images of art and food consumption, create something really unusual from regular things and created Van Gogh’s ears.

The whole project is based on combining different technologies -pasta production and painting, different cultures- Italian culinary, Dutch art and Ukrainian design. Pasta colors aren’t random too, all the shades are taken from pallet of the most famous artist’s self-portrait. All the ingredients are natural too.

“Art inspires even for culinary masterpieces”- says the main concept of this project, and we do believe that art will inspire the whole world for creating a big future.
